Overview
This conference will focus on women’s mental healthcare from adolescence through the geriatric years, focusing on the unique aspects of treating women both from a clinical viewpoint and in the context of the world in 2022. We will explore societal impacts on women’s mental health care using an ethics lens, with special attention to the physician’s role at the intersection. Join us to learn about advances and discover pearls for practice in specialty and primary care settings.
Our presenters bring expertise from a variety of medical and mental health specialties. Topics include gender differences in social media impact on adolescents, racial disparities in women’s health care during childbearing years, case-based learning, substance use disorder treatment for new mothers, gender differences in antidepressant pharmacotherapy, and unique needs of geriatric women. We will also focus on the legal, ethical, and medical impact of policy changes involving women’s health. We will feature a poster session
