Psychiatry Across the Lifespan: Research and Practice Updates for Every Age

Picture
Overview
The MN Psychiatric Society's Spring virtual day-long program features midday keynoter immediate past president of the American Medical Association and child & adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Patrice Harris, presenting on collaborative leadership. The program offers psychiatric updates across the lifespan starting with perinatal and child & adolescent topics, followed with information on the impact of marijuana on the developing brain, then bridging to adulthood with first episode psychosis. We share strategies for providing culturally responsive psychiatric care, explore co-occurring psychiatric and chronic medical conditions, and consider the impact of isolation and telehealth on geriatric issues. We will end the day with a discussion of end-of-life issues.

Who Should Attend
This educational activity is intended for psychiatrists, primary care physicians, psychologists, social workers, physician assistants, registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, and clinic administrators.
